To make calls to fixed-line and mobile phones you need to have Skyetel Airtime Credit in your account. You can purchase the Airtime Credit from the Manage Account page. The calls rates are low cost to help you save cost. Here’s how to do:

• Create Free Skyetel Account if not already done so.
• Purchase Skyetel Airtime Credit if not already purchased - Use Manage Account page
• Download Free Skyetel Softphone if not already done - or use any VoIP Device (ATA / IP Phone / WiFi Mobile)
• Launch and Login to Softphone with your personal 7 digit gNumber (global number) and Password
• Dial the landline or mobile phone number (using the full international format), you have to use this format no matter where in the world you are ringing from:

Dial 00 + Country Code of destination + Area Code + Contact number E.g. a call to Australia Country code = 0061 Area code = 98 Number = 123456 DIAL 006198123456 and press green call button on Softphone If you are unsure of the country code or area code then use the Tpad VoIP Call Rates Table to find out. Using a VoIP Device to make a call (ATA / IP Phone / WiFi Mobile / Softphone - Xlite / Express Talk / SJPhone) If you are using a VoIP Device, then you have to dial a 9 first to tell our system that it is an outgoing call. Dial 9 + 00 + Country Code of destination + Area Code + Contact number E.g. a call to Australia Country code = 90061 Area code = 98 Number = 123456 DIAL 9006198123456 and press green call button on Softphone

You can make 100% free calls to other Skyetel users using the Skyetel Softphone. You do not need to purchase credit.

• Create Account and Download Softphone (if not already done so)
• Launch and Login to Softphone with your gNumber and Password
• Dial the 13-digit Skyetel gNumber of your contact and press green button
• Your contact should be logged on or have set call forwarding with valid credit for you to connect to them.

You can dial a number on normal phones (called the Country Skyetel Break-In Number) that allows you to link to the Skyetel network. The number is different for each country and is at local rate (sometime freephone). After entering this number you select option 1 then enter the 13 digit Skyetel gNumber of your contact who may be anywhere in the world. You just pay for a local call. You do not need to be a Skyetel user or have a Skyetel account or Skyetel credit yourself to use this feature. See 'Receive Calls' for more details.

• E.g. in UK Dial the local country Skyetel Break-In number 0113 346 9704 (other Country Numbers are shown on 'Receive Calls' page)
• Wait for the message and select Option 1, then enter the 13-digit Skyetel gNumber you want to reach. 
• Your call will be connected to your contact. You may not connect if they are not logged in or if they have set their call forwarding but have no credit.

• Dial the Skyetel Break-In Number for the country YOU are in from a normal landline / mobile. (local rate call) 
• Wait for the message and select Option 2.
• Enter the 10 digit PIN Number of your Skyetel Account (found in your Manage Account Page)
• Then you have to enter the full international number you wish to call in the correct Skyetel Format

Dial 00 + Country Code of destination + Area Code + Contact number + # key E.g. a call to India Country code = 0091 Area code = 98 Number = 123456 DIAL 009198123456 followed by the # key (Hash / Pound Key -located below the 9 key on keypad) Full example of a Skyetel Phone to Phone Call using the Skyetel Break-In Numbers: (Malaysia to India Call) E.g. in Malaysia Dial the local Skyetel number 01133469704 using landline / mobile Wait for the message and select Option 2 Wait for the next message and enter your 10 digit calling pin card number (this is shown in your account details on the Manage Account page). After this you will be told to enter the full international telephone number you want to dial.
